POISONS IN THE HOME

On Saturday, March 19, at 2 pm, the Falmouth Public Library is hosting POISONS IN THE HOME,  a program highlighting the 2011 town wide read of Rachel Carson’s SILENT SPRING.  Cheryl Osimo, of the Mass. Breast Cancer Coalition & Co-founder of Silent Spring Institute will speak about the toxic chemicals commonly found in household & personal care products.  This will be followed by the acclaimed documentary LIVING DOWNSTREAM, which follows the life of biologist & cancer survivor Sandra Steingraber.  Sue Phelan of GreenCAPE will lead a discussion of how toxins enter homes via the groundwater.
