The Cape Verdean Experience in the Civil War
Dr. Dana Mohler-Faria will speak at the Falmouth Public Library, 300 Main Street, on Wednesday, May 16 at 7 PM. (Rescheduled from April). He will be discussing the challenges faced by free Cape Verdeans who began to immigrate to this country in the pre-Civil War era. Dr. Mohler-Faria is a Cape Cod resident who serves as the 11th President of Bridgewater State University. As a foundation to his lifelong service in academic administration, he earned both his Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees in History. This program is offered FREE of charge with support from the Falmouth Public Library Trustees. This is a What’s Falmouth Reading event supporting the 2012 town wide read Seen the Glory: a Novel of the Battle of Gettysburg, by John Hough Jr.
