The cat walked around with an arrow through his body until an East Falmouth man found him and called police.

It’s been a bad week for a cat in Falmouth that was shot with an arrow on Thursday, Jan. 8.
Cuday, a 13-year-old male cat, was wandering around the neighborhood of Pinecrest Drive in Falmouth when a resident of the area shot an arrow at the cat, striking him through his torso.
Cuday walked around the block with the arrow sticking through his body, until a man on Sidewinder Drive noticed him and called police.

Losi reportedly confessed to shooting Cuday during an interview with police. He allegedly claimed he thought the cat was feral and was harassing his bobwhite quail from the outside of a coup on his property.
On Monday, Jan. 12 Losi was charged with one count of maiming a domestic animal, one count of animal cruelty and improper storage of a firearm.
Cuday was treated at Buzzards Bay Veterinary Clinic where the arrow was removed. He has been released, but will have follow-up appointments to address a fragment of the arrow still in his body.
