Falmouth Freight Port Moves To New Bedford Ocean Wind Turbine Port
Steamship Authority to use incomplete New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal. You can't rob the blind and disabled but you can rob taxpayers.

Massachusetts- Questions remain unanswered : Will Steamship Authority pay the $187,500.00 a month bond payments due on the New Bedford Terminal for 30 years ????

Massachusetts State Sen. Mark C. Montigny, D-New Bedford described the ocean wind turbine port in New Bedford : "nothing but a boondoggle"
The 113 million ocean terminal was mostly bonded at taxpayers expense. The bond payments are $187,500.00 a month for the next thirty years and you the taxpayers are footing the bill on the incomplete ocean terminal.
A Massachusetts Clean Energy Center brochure, the operator of the New Bedford terminal, states the opening at the hurricane gate to New Bedford Harbor is 150 feet which is true. The problem is the legal opening is 120 feet and the largest ship ever to enter the harbor has been 80 feet wide.
Ocean wind turbine specialized "jack-up" barges do not fit through the gates. The port is too small and useless.
To ad insult to injury the channel outside the hurricane gates for 5 miles needs 1 million cubic yards of material dumped in an ocean dump site off the Town of Wellfleet. New Bedford harbor has a high concentration of PCB, Polychlorinated biphenyls, contamination. The channel can only be used at high tide.
Folks the signs are up. A local Democratic Falmouth citizens group is placing signs all over Falmouth. The signs say: " It Is Time To Think New Bedford. "
The signs are all up and down Woods Hole Road, Falmouth, Massachusetts.
The residents of Woods Hole have been asking the former Governor Patrick administration to find a way to stop the noise from trucks 24/7 through the prestigious neighborhoods to the Woods Hole Terminal.
The New Bedford ocean wind turbine port now appears to be a parting gift from Governor Patrick to the affluent Woods Hole residents making New Bedford the freight port to the Islands. No more noise.
The plan for the New Bedford ocean wind port was from day one the plan of the executive branch of state government to become the freight port to Martha's Vineyard using unregulated renewable energy funds.

Cape Wind has never had a federal permit to construct commercial wind turbines from New Bedford.
The 2009 BOEM, Bureau of Ocean Management allows only three maintenance boats in New Bedford Harbor.
Officials from the Executive Office of Governor Patrick testified to legislative bonding committees and the news media in 2013 that they were sure Cape Wind would construct their wind turbines from New Bedford Harbor at the new ocean marine commerce terminal. They were convinced even though there was NO federal permits ?
After a ten year review Cape Wind was between 2009 and 2010 issued a federal permit to build its turbines from Quonset Point, Rhode Island.
Cape Wind has never filed a project revision with BOEM. Cape Wind has signed a lease with Quonset Point, Rhode Island Did Cape Wind promise the officials from the Executive Office of Governor Patrick they would use New Bedford & file a project revision ?
Taxpayers need to be made aware of the financial fiasco going on in New Bedford. Who, What, When, Where ,Why and How .
