Falmouth Genealogical Society Holds Monthly Meeting

How the Mashpee Wampanoag Established Their Genealogy

On Saturday, February 13, Rita Lopez, enrollment Director of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe will cover the following topics as related to the Mashpee Wampanoag Genealogy: Missionaries, State of Massachusetts, Federal Census, Maps, Professional Services, Tribal Members and the Town of Mashpee.

Ms. Lopez was born and raised in Mashpee until moving to Hartford, CT at the age of twenty-one. She earned her Associates Degree in Computer Science from Newbury College in Chestnut Hill, MA. Working for the Gillette Company from 1985 to 2007, she has now worked for the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe since 2012.

This talk and slide presentation promises to be on of great interest to all. The meeting is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend from 10 a.m until oon in the Hermann Foundation Room at the Falmouth Public Library.
