Falmouth Home Damaged In Kitchen Fire
The fire started in the oven before it spread to the kitchen cabinets.

FALMOUTH, MA — A fire broke out at a home on Morris Street on the 4th of July, according to Falmouth fire officials.
Fire officials said the fire started just after 6 p.m, and began in the kitchen's oven. The flames then spread to the cabinets and filled the house with smoke.
Firefighters arrived with three fire engines and a ladder truck but later learned the owner put out the flames using a fire extinguisher and a garden hose.

Fire officials said they checked that the fire was out and there was no extension into the cabinets or walls. No injuries were reported.
The fire was caused by a paper product being in the oven's lower drawer. Fire officials said it ignited while the oven was on.
