The facility features a large, secure outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment. Children spend plenty of time outdoors, engaging in physical play and exploring nature. There may also be gardening activities. The building is designed with child safety in mind, featuring soft corners, non-toxic materials, and secure fencing around outdoor areas. Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. FALMOUTH, MA — A Falmouth man was arraigned on a murder charge last week in Barnstable Superiour court in connection to the death of Darrell Russ, 33, who was shot last October in Hyannis. William Hayes, 39, was held without bail and was charged with first degree murder, assault and battery with a firearm, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building and unlawful possession of a firearm as an armed career criminal.Police said the shooting happened around 1:15 p.m., Oct. 16. Officers found Russ lying on the ground with three gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital but succumbed to his injuries there.Two weeks later, members of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Task Force found Hayes in Yazoo, Mississippi. Authorities said Hayes was hiding at a relative's house. Hayes is scheduled to return to court March 23.
