Lehy, a sergeant alleged, was driving a small Chevrolet pickup truck from South State Street to Pleasant when the vehicle made “a wide turn onto the yellow line.”

The officer pulled out onto Pleasant Street to follow the truck and caught up with it at North Main Street and Loudon Road, according to the report, just as the light turned green.

“The vehicle made a right onto Loudon Road and drove across both lanes of travel and across the double yellow line adjacent to the traffic island,” the officer alleged. “The vehicle then accelerated eastbound on Loudon Road. I clocked the vehicle at 47 mph in a 30 mph zone.”

The sergeant stopped the vehicle just across the bridge near the Everett Arena while another officer on the opposite side of the road – who also was alerted on radar that the vehicle was speeding – pulled around to assist.

The officer approached the driver’s side of the vehicle and alleged that there was “a very strong odor of (an) alcoholic beverage coming from Lehy’s direction,” according to the report.

“While speaking with Lehy, I noticed his eyes were glassy and blood shot,” the officer alleged. “Lehy spoke with a slurred speech and I noticed he was looking down or away from my direction as he spoke to me.”

After some back and forth, including some discussion with a female passenger, Lehy was arrested on two counts of DWI. He was also given citations for speed and yellow line violations.

Lehy was scheduled to be arraigned on Nov. 2, 2015, in Concord District Court, and was released to a sober party.
