Falmouth Man Charged With Trafficking Fentanyl
Police said James Kelley, 39, was caught with fentanyl, cocaine and other drugs, after crashing his car into a tree.

YARMOUTH, MA — An East Falmouth man was arrested Sunday after police said he was caught with fentanyl, cocaine and other drugs following a crash in South Yarmouth.
James Kelley, 39, was charged with trafficking more than 10 grams of fentanyl, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of clonazepam with intent to distribute, possession of gabapentin with intent to distribute, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and marked lane violations.
Just before 2 p.m., police were called to the 90th block of Main Street following a crash. Police said Kelly's car veered off the road and crashed into a tree.

The car sustained heavy damage and needed to be towed, so police conducted a pre-tow search of the vehicle. Police said they found a plastic bag with a white powdery substance and other drugs. The powdery substance was tested and later confirmed to be fentanyl.
Kelly was arrested and taken to a cell at the station. While in the cell, Kelley was seen dropping something on the floor and putting it back into his sweatpants. Police said they searched Kelley again and found more drugs.
