Falmouth Man Dies In Fiery Bourne Crash: Police

Bourne police arrived at the scene early Saturday morning to find the car fully engulfed in flames.

FALMOUTH, MA — A 23-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash along Sandwich Road in Bourne early Saturday morning, according to police.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. near Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School. The driver veered off the road and hit a stone wall near the school. The car then burst into flames, police said.

The first officers on the scene were able to pry open the doors and use fire extinguishers to subdue the flames. A 28-year-old man, also from Falmouth, was rescued from the passenger seat. He is in critical condition at a local hospital, police said.
