Falmouth MSM Takes Another Bullet Wind Turbine Article 27

Mainstream media (MSM) is mass media that influences a large number of people and both reflects and shapes prevailing currents of thought. Readers have to ask why and who is keeping them in the dark.

The Mainstream media is your local newspapers, radio and local television. When it comes to reporting any type of news about land based commercial megawatt wind turbines readers are simply left in the dark again and again.

Falmouth is ground zero for poorly placed megawatt wind turbines in the United States. You will never read that in your local news.

The Town of Falmouth has a long history of withholding wind turbine documents, memos and correspondence over wind turbines from the public. Likewise the news media for some reason goes along to get along.

It's been two days since Article 27 disappeared from being brought to the floor at Falmouth Town Meeting and not one word in the news media.

Article 27 asked to have " impediments " removed from the wind turbines to operate them 24/7. This left the reader of the article to believe the " impediments " are the neighbors of the turbines and the article is an eminent domain article.

A real journalist / editor would win the Pulitzer Prize for writing a story on Article 27 so why is the media keeping people in the dark ? Why is it so important not to report about this article ?

A .) To insert an article in the warrant for an annual Town Meeting, at least 10 registered voters of the town must sign a written request.

The written request of registered voters for the insertion of subjects in town meeting warrants shall not be valid unless the required number of registered voters not only sign their names but also state their residence, with street and number. Who are they ? Is this why the news blackout ?

Article 27 was inserted by a Town Meeting Member it would be interesting to see exactly who are the ten registered voters of the town that signed Article 27 to have it inserted as an article in the warrant. Who are the Friends of Falmouth Wind ?

B .) Any Town Meeting article in Massachusetts that requires authorizing selectmen to purchase or take land by eminent domain requires a 2/3 vote. Did article 27 require money and purchasing land ?

C .) Under the by-laws of many towns, you must make certain motions, such as those involving money, in writing. Did article 27 require documentation in writing ?

Do you believe the media has included some good, tough reporting on Article 27 ?

Do you believe the lack of reporting by omission has imperiled journalism in Massachusetts ?

"ARTICLE 27: To see if the Town will vote to advise the Board of Selectmen to take all necessary legal actions and measures by no later than December 31, 2016 to remove any and all impediments to fulltime operation of the Town’s municipal wind turbines per the manufacturer’s specifications at its Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 154 Blacksmith Shop Road, West Falmouth, MA. Or do or take any other action on the matter.
On petition of Ronald D. Zweig and others."
