Falmouth : News Media Owes Public Apology Over Wind Turbine Agenda

The MassCEC Made Mainstream Media Fools Over Wind Turbine Agenda-MassCEC Admitted Crucifying Wind Turbine Noise In 2013- Media Hiding

The mainstream media made fools out of themselves over the Massachusetts commercial wind turbine agenda. The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center in turn made fools of so called journalist and editors state wide.

Newspapers were greatly used by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center to spread what we know today as a failed commercial megawatt wind turbine agenda. Massachusetts has twenty one communities with poorly placed wind turbines or over 100 million dollars worth of wasted money that could have gone to valuable infrastructure projects.

Whatever your political persuasion today, there is one thing you will never see again in Massachusetts and that is an editorial on the benefits of a commercial megawatt wind turbine in your community.

When was the last time you read one of those editorials on the financial benefits of a commercial wind turbine ? The truth is journalist / editors crawl under their desks embarrassed over the health and financial fiasco going on in Massachusetts. The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center provided the information to the media and in turn the editors wrote stories that were used as evidence to help communities buy into the catastrophic health fiasco.

The Massachusetts main stream media has to take blame for a large portion of the false propaganda. The editors made it possible so people could only read the news as it was presented to them by the government agenda on wind turbines.

The news media today is remaining silent out of guilt and embarrassment. The general public looks at the media remaining silent as looking guilty and they are !

The media remains silent for a number of reasons, including seeking to protect their circle of friends. When was the last time you read any editorial at all on commercial wind turbines ?

Let's look at the experts: Nils Bolgen, Wind Turbine Program Director, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center.

Nils managed the Massachusetts Green Power Partnership and other initiatives that support the financing of commercial power projects and was technical manager for the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative Community Wind Collaborative.

Nils has been with the Renewable Energy Trust at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative since 2001.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from North Adams State College and a Master of Environmental Planning degree from Arizona State University.

Massachusetts only has 100 megawatts of commercial wind turbines installed over the past fifteen years. Nils Bolgen has been either directly or indirectly involved in these projects. Commercial wind projects have thanks to the media quietly come to almost a halt in Massachusetts.

In 2012 the State of Massachusetts convened an expert independant panel made up of pro-wind turbine advocates to study health impacts of commercial wind. The expert panel used a wind turbine that generates a high of 103 decibels of noise. At that time the so called expert panel had no idea the Falmouth wind turbines generate a high of 110 decibels. The Falmouth wind turbines on the decibel scale are twice as loud as the one used by the Massachusetts expert panel.

When Massachusetts convened an expert independant panel of experts they were only given positive information. The results were predetermined before the health study started and the main stream media is well aware of the facts

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and the Town of Falmouth made fools of the mainstream media hiding a noise warning for five years knowing all the time they were crucifying neighbors with a noise described as torture from lack of sleep. Vestas wind company had warned the town six years ago.

Using these individuals as a scale of their expertise Nils Bolgen has comprehensive or authoritative knowledge of commercial wind. In fact if we were looking for a state official who is a wind turbine expert Nils is like finding a true Guru.

Nils Bolgen the program director and facilitator of Falmouth Wind 1 & 2 in May of 2013 changed the setbacks of the commercial wind turbines to 2000 feet to property lines statewide . This was partially based on the catastrophic health and property taking issues in Falmouth and other communities.

Falmouth is ground zero for poorly placed wind turbines in the United States.

Please keep in mind the MassCEC 2000 foot setback to property lines is for one (1 ) commercial wind turbine.

Falmouth has three Vestas V 82 commercial wind turbines in the 1.65 megwatt class very close together.

Here is the May 2013 quote increasing the Massachusetts setbacks to commercial megawatt turbines:

“Nils Bolgen, who works with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, said his organization has become “more conservative” in requiring project proposals seeking funding to provide more detailed data if they are close to residential areas.”

“In 2005, when the Center began requiring applicants to provide acoustical data, Bolgen said it was done on an “ad hoc” basis.”

“Now, all turbine proposals within 2,000 feet of residences must provide that data.”

The next month April 2, 2013 the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center sent a memo to the Town of Falmouth they admitted making acoustical noise mistakes during the wind turbine study for Falmouth Wind 1.

The Town of Falmouth hid a letter for 5 years from Vestas Wind Company that Falmouth Wind 1 generates 110 decibels of noise . Twice the manufacturer specifications ;

The Town of Falmouth never posted the April 19,2005 Falmouth Community Site Screening Report

The Town of Falmouth has filed its tenth lawsuit against its own Zoning Board of Appeals

General Electric a domestic wind turbine company refused to build a single megawatt turbine in Falmouth over set back issues to nearby residential homes.

Falmouth residents for years were led to believe smaller 660 kilowatt turbines were going to be installed.

Public outreach and education was virtually non-existent over the installation of Falmouth Wind 1 a Vestas V-82 commercial 1.65 megawatt wind turbine. In fact documents, memos and letters were hidden from the public.

Special Permit 240-166 was avoided prior to the installation of Wind 1 because it would have required additional meetings, notifications and hearings.

The news media owes the public an apology
