The Falmouth Select Board five year strategic draft plan that did not include wind turbines, renewable energy or litigation costs was canceled last night. No reason was given for the cancellation.
The Falmouth Select Board has filed litigation against its own zoning board of appeals over commercial megawatt wind turbine permits .
Last week in Massachusetts Land Court the court received a revised motion to intervene and a motion to transfer another zoning case involving the same parties in superior court to the court is due by June 24, 2016.

In accordance with the Town of Falmouth Home Rule Charter, the Falmouth. Board of Selectmen has presented its five~year strategic plan draft for the Town of Falmouth. The Strategic Plan covers areas of importance to the Town.
The plan does not include or mention the Falmouth wind turbines, renewable energy or litigation costs.
Falmouth is ground zero for poorly placed wind turbines in the United States
The town litigation fees are near $300,000.00 every six months
In April the Falmouth Select Board filed litigation against its own appointed Zoning Board of Appeals over wind turbines
Falmouth Town Meeting is November 2016. There are over ten litigation cases over the wind turbines
What is the strategy ? How much more will taxpayers pay for litigation and loss of resources from the turbines ?
We can think of "omission" as why the town held back important negative information about the noise and health risks associated with the wind turbines.
Had the town filed Special Permit 240-166 which required additional notifications to the neighbors and tests. There would not be millions of dollars in litigation and lost revenue from the restricted operation of the turbines
