Falmouth Town Election 5/17/2016 Faces Years of Corruption -- Lies
Falmouth Select Board for years intentionally misled the public. Falmouth politicians lied and deliberately hurt the wind turbine abutters.

The entire town including the local news media outlets have a decayed sense of values. The placement of two commercial wind turbines required taking the health and property rights of up to 200 residential home owners so the majority of taxpayers would save a few dollars on their tax bills.
In 2005 the town did a two part feasibility study for the wind turbines. The April portion of the feasibility study was never posted on the Falmouth web site because it said the town requires Special Permit 240-166 to install a wind turbine. Why is this still hidden from the public ? Because they lied.
In 2010 the Falmouth Select Board had Wastewater Superintendent Gerry Potamus a paid employee of the Town of Falmouth signed a noise warning letter acknowledging the turbines are twice as loud as those modeled in noise tests. The Falmouth Select Board is aware of the signatures and recently appointed Gerry Potamus to the Falmouth Zoning Board of Appeals. The Falmouth Select Board has also coincidently also recently filed a lawsuit in Massachusetts Land Court against the ZBA that is expected to last several years. The letter was hidden for 5 years why ? Because they lied.
The Town of Falmouth in order to build Falmouth Wind II had to file a federal EPA waiver to get stimulus funds to buy a foreign made wind turbine. The town never told the EPA General Electric a domestic wind turbine company refused to build a wind turbine because of setbacks to residential property and ice throw. The town made reference to Special Permit 240-166 in the waiver but never applied for the permit because it would require additional studies and abutter notifications aka another lie .
On March 7, 2013 Megan Amsler, Chair Falmouth Energy Committee wrote a letter to Rick Sullivan, Secretary of the Executive Office of Energy and Environment Affairs asking the state not to help take down the wind turbines. Megan Amsler claims she did not sign the letter as the Chair Falmouth Energy Committee. The letter shows she did sign the letter as the Chair Falmouth Energy Committee and a member of Friends of Falmouth Wind. Friends of Falmouth Wind is a group of local politicians that advocate running the turbines 24/7 despite health and property rights. The Megan Amsler letter is a public document through the Freedom of Information Act and has never been posted on the Falmouth web site because it is incriminating. If Megan Amsler told the truth why doesn't she post the letter ?
Megan Amsler remains to this day as appointed by the Falmouth Select Board to the Chair Falmouth Energy Committee despite writing the letter. The Select Board approval of the letter is acknowledged -no action was taken.
On April 2, 2013 several weeks before the Town of Falmouth voted on taking down the wind turbines the Select Board got a memo from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center. That memo stated the original noise tests for placing the first wind turbine had acoustic noise mistakes. The town had also installed wind turbines twice as loud as those used in the original noise tests. The memo remained hidden and the local news media glossed over the reception of the memo. The bottom line is the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center was responsible for the noise mistakes and they were the original owners of Falmouth Wind 1. When do omissions become lies ?

On November 21, 2013. Falmouth Select Board Member Rebecca Moffitt and Falmouth Town Counsel Frank Duffy agreed with Barnstable Superior Court Judge Christopher J. Muse to shut down the turbines 12 hours a day. An offer to buy one wind turbine victims home was made. The Select Board then in turn later that week reneged on the entire deal why ? Because they can not be trusted to negotiate in good faith. The board at the time was well aware of an impartial third party's advisory opinion before making any type of offers. Select Board Member Rebecca Moffitt did not know she would need an impartial third party to make finacial offers to wind turbine victims ? How much more before the general public gets the big picture of what is going on ?
The Falmouth Select Board has presented articles approved at Town Meeting that have resulted in litigation fees near $300,000.00 every six months. The board has filed a case against its own zoning board in Massachusetts Land Court that is scheduled to last 18 to 36 months. The result of the land court case could be appealed by either party to Massachusetts Superior Court years away at taxpayer expense. Taxpayers are paying to have the courts cover up catastrophic finacial mistakes and the Select Board does not care it's not their money !
The town officials are afraid of offending the state renewable energy agenda. How many times have you heard federal officials say anyone that speaks out against renewable energy should be prosecuted.
The Massachusetts Democratic Party Platform long ago dropped the state renewable energy agenda using land based megawatt wind turbines because Falmouth is ground zero for poorly placed wind turbines in the United States. There are twenty one other communities with poorly placed wind turbines in Massachusetts
The solution here is simple. Shut down the turbines, stop paying loans and demand your money back from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center. They admitted in the April 2, 2013 memo the acoustic noise study was wrong.
There is no court in the world that would not agree with shutting down the turbines, stop hurting your neighbors and get your money back.
Do not vote for a Select Board canadiate if they want to spend the next 10 years in litagation at $300,000.00 every six months. It is only going to get more expensive.
If this plays out in court the town will go bankrupt- Shut down the embarrassing turbines stop hurting your neighbors
