Falmouth Turbine Wind #1 exceeds 10 dBA- 2012 Hanky-Panky Alleged
Four nights, MassDEP conducted sound sampling with Wind #1 operational at five residential locations close to the wind turbine. Broke Laws

In 2012 the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection over a period of four days conducted decibel noise tests on Falmouth turbine number one. The tests were conducted in the vicinity of 200 residential homes around Falmouth Wind I and II .
The turbines broke the MassDEP noise laws at one home within four days.
Over a period of one year that would be near 100 exceedances at that one home . The Town of Falmouth has received thousands of certified written noise complaints.

Falmouth Massachusetts is ground zero for poorly placed wind turbines in the United States
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center admitted in an April 2, 2013 memo to the Town of Falmouth the company they hired to conduct noise tests prior to the installation of Falmouth Wind I are flawed.

In addition the Town of Falmouth hid a noise warning letter from the manufacturer of the turbines that they generate 110 decibels of noise.
The 110 decibels of noise is 7 decibels higher than the MassCEC flawed noise studies

RE: MassDEP Sound Sampling Study- Falmouth Wind #1
Dear Chairperson Flynn;
With this cover letter I am sending you the results of MassDEP’s attended sound sampling of Falmouth’s Wind Turbine #1 located at the Waste Water Treatment Facility on Service Road in East Falmouth.
The enclosed report was prepared in response to a request by the Town of Falmouth that MassDEP assist the town in conducting attended sound sampling to augment the unattended sound study conducted by HMMH in the summer of 2010.
Over the course of four nights, MassDEP conducted sound sampling with Wind #1 operational at five residential locations close to the wind turbine.
Data was also collected for background sound without turbine operations.
Because the sampling was attended, the study was able to focus directly on sound from the wind turbine without interference from other sound sources.
The results of MassDEP’s sampling indicate that sound levels from Wind #1 exceed the 10 dBA threshold that MassDEP defines as unacceptable sound at one of the sampling sites (211 Blacksmith ShopRoad) under both high and low wind conditions at night.
Prior to these results being made available the F almouth Board of Selectmen (BOS) had already made a determination to cease nighttime operation
