Falmouth Turbine Show Cause To Embarrass News Media -Politicians
The truth is out about the main stream media distortions, lies and omissions about commercial wind turbines in Massachusetts - They did it for a political agenda.
2010
In an August 2010 letter from the manufacturer of the town owned Vestas wind turbine the company warned they were taking a gamble installing Falmouth wind turbine # 2.
The Town has previously been provided with the Octave Band Data / Sound performance for the V82 turbine. This shows that the turbine normally operates at 103.2dB but the manufacturer has also stated that it may produce up to 110dB .
db means decibels
The town hid the letter for five years and was aware of the noise warning prior to the installation of Wind II.
The Town of Falmouth was aware the turbines were 7 Decibels higher that the manufactures specifications. Every 3 Decibel increase is a doubling of sound and acoustic power to the human ear and that is simply an intolerable increase.
The Town of Falmouth lacks any studies for a wind turbine that generates 110 decibels of noise. The manufacturer Vestas wind company has informed the town in writing that the turbines do generate 110 decibels of noise.

A Special Permit should require engineered noise studies to protect the health and welfare of all the citizens.
2011 Large megawatt wind turbines :
In 2011 the Chief Executive Officer of Vestas wind company CEO Engel Ditlev wrote a letter to Karen Ellemann about low frequency noise. The CEO responded that Vestas does not have the technologhy to stop the noise.
Vestas Wind Company confirms two distict types of noise from their wind turbines. The first measured in decibels and the second measuerd in low frequency.
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center warned Mattapoisett residents in 2005 about two distinct types of noise regulatory and human annoyance or what is called infra sound or low frequency.

Dr Neil Kelley wrote a study for NASA on infrasound and low frequency noise in 1987. The noise is real.
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center removed the warnings of two distinct types of noise in the Falmouth feasibilty study placing the health and property rights of Falmouth citizens in jeopardy.
The Town of Falmouth lacks a low frequency study for a Special Permit. Health and safety issues take precedence over permits.
Massachusetts state and local politicians as well as the news media have been aware of the excessive noise from the Falmouth wind turbines.
The installation of commercial wind turbines in Massachusetts has resulted in massive litigation cases in as many as 21 communities across Massachusetts.
Out state politicians and news media have made a choice to ignore the massive health and ongoing finacial litigation fiasco by trying to sweep it under the rug. These people need to be held crimminally responsible for what they have done taking health and property rights for an Agenda gone terribly wrong.
History will show the travesty of another Agenda like others in the past that took the health and property rights of a minority for the general good of the majority with no compensation.
The quote from the Karen Ellemann letter from Vestas CEO Engel Ditlev :
Letter from Vestas worried about regulation of low-frequency noise
Author: Engel, Ditlev
Dear Karen Ellemann,*
“Following previous correspondence, I am writing this letter to express my concern regarding the limits for low frequency noise from wind turbines now being proposed.”
“At this point you may have asked yourself why it is that Vestas does not just make changes to the wind turbines so that they produce less noise?”
“The simple answer is that at the moment it is not technically possible to do so, and it requires time and resources because presently we are at the forefront of what is technically possible for our large wind turbines, and they are the most efficient of all.”
Yours sincerely,
Vestas Wind Systems A/S
