Falmouth Vestas Wind Turbine Eviction Article 2 Caught On Tape

It is clear that Falmouth officials are playing a game of bait and switch, placating Town Meeting Members with an Article 2 proposal for Special Town Meeting that does not mean what it says. The article fails to inform citizens this is an eminent domain article.

The problem for the Select Board is the verbal presentation is on video tape. Town Meeting Members need to watch the tape at the 1:30 mark for the entire presentation and then the endorsement by the board at the 2:24 mark on the video. This is the October 5, 2015 meeting.

Today, the goodly citizens of Falmouth, as educated, well bathed and coifed, couth and urbane, affluent and emancipated, as they may fancy themselves to be, have seized the green life ring of “environmentalism” like drowning swimmers.

They desperately drown their fellow victims, the wind turbine neighbors, to overcrowd the sinking green life boats that have been released from a leaky, poorly built green mothership.

They’ve done this because they have embraced something that they fear to let go of. They fear to let go of their cult-like beliefs because they fear that they will have nothing, be nothing, if they do.

They are willing to pay and pay and pay to do it.

So, what they have created is a black hole vortex in Falmouth. They have become the foul denizens of this region.

The sound that they mistake for ocean waves is the sound of the misery of their neighbors, who they chose to stop their ears to, and is the rushing away of all morality and human decency as it passes to the oblivion beyond them, farther down, much farther down.

This is the seat of a cancer on civilization that attacks the human soul. Excuse me. The rational materialists don’t believe in the soul.

ARTICLE 2: To see if the Town will vote to support the Board of Selectmen’s efforts toward maximizing the benefits and thereby minimizing any financial burden to Falmouth’s citizens from operation of the Town’s municipal turbines at its Wastewater Treatment Facility at 154 Blacksmith Shop Road, West Falmouth, MA. Or do or take any other action on the matter. On petition of Richard Latimer, Ronald Zweig and others.

Falmouth, MA Town Meeting Member David Moriarty discusses the upcoming Special Town Meeting concerning Wind 1, the town owned Vestas Wind Turbine, which was taken offline by a recent vote by Falmouth Zoning Board of Appeals, which ruled it needed a special permit.

He explains upcoming articles and what they really mean, reading between the legalese. Basically the town wants to take the homes surrounding the turbine project by eminent domain to make the project legal. It is the town’s last avenue.

The town has exhausted all other legal remedies.
