Many Falmouth victims, friends and citizens have been suffering physically, emotionally, financially for well over 6 years now .

The wind turbine victims have described this assault on them as infrasonic acoustical trespassing (aka) torture.

This kind of abuse can no longer be tolerated or ignored by such tyrannical governmental agencies.

Wind turbine noise both regulatory measuerd in decibels and annoyance ( infra sound ) cause health problems. The noise is described as never ending torture.

On May 15, 2012 the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection notified the Falmouth Select Board the town owned wind turbines are breaking state noise laws.

On November 21, 2013 Barnstable Superior Court Judge Christopher J. Muse issued a preliminary injunction against the turbines.

The Court found that the defendants in the case face “a substantial risk (that they) will suffer irreparable physical and psychological harm if the injunction is not granted.” In the ruling https://windwisema.files.wordpress.com/2013/11/falmouthvfalmouthzbapreliminaryinjunctiondecisionandorder.pdf

In recent history through FOIA, Freedom of Information Requests :

A . The Town of Falmouth hid a letter dated August 3, 2010 from Vestas wind company the manufacturer of the turbines that the noise genetated is 110 decibels of noise. Falmouth used a smaller General Electric wind turbine in their noise studies financed by the owners of the Vestas turbines. The original owners of the Vestas turbines are the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center.

B. An April 2, 2013 Staff memo to the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center Board of Directors -
“Falmouth Wind 1 was one of the earliest municipally-owned megawatt scale wind turbines installed in Massachusetts. Even though the original MTC-commissioned feasibility study for Falmouth over-estimated the likely acoustic impact, that study did not include a detailed acoustic analysis based upon sampling of ambient acoustic conditions” ( To put it bluntley know figures were
extrapolated )

The MassCEC financed noise tests used General Electric turbines that generate 103 decibels of noise. Half as loud as the current Vestas turbines used in Falmouth.

Nils Bolgen the wind program director for the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center changed the setbacks to 2000 feet statewide in June of 2013.

The Falmouth Zoning Board of Appeals’ deliberation on a special permit application for one of two town-owned wind turbines on Blacksmith Shop Road,is scheduled Saturday, March 5, at 9 AM Falmouth Town Hall.
