Fire Ravages Through Falmouth Home

FALMOUTH, MA — A fire ravaged through a two-and-a-half story home in East Falmouth Wednesday morning.

Fire officials were called to the home on Childs River Road around 6:30 a.m., and found heavy flames billowing out of the house. Officials said they quickly struck a second alarm, and help was brought in from the Mashpee Fire Department and Joint Base Cape Cod.

The fire was out within an hour, but the house sustained heavy damage, fire officials said. There were no injuries.

The exact cause of the fire is under investigation by Falmouth police and fire and State Police.
