Former Gov Deval Patrick Legacy: Failed Torturous Wind Turbines

The Massachusetts Democratic Party Platform in 2010 called for 2000 megawatts of commercial wind turbines by the year 2020. The plan was to install up to 3300 commercial wind turbines.

The program today is a catastrophic health and financial fiasco with only about 100 or so built in Massachusetts. Falmouth is ground zero for poorly placed wind turbines in the United States.

Massachusetts a Blue state, mostly Democrats, followed the megawatt wind turbine agenda like soldiers or thugs of some foreign government. The politicians with the help of the media took the health and property rights of citizens in 21 communities creating a second class group of citizens refered to as the wind turbine victims.

The wind agenda called for a war on fossil fuels using large megawatt wind turbines to fight the war which we know today has caused collateral damage in twenty one communities. The damage is from a noise described statewide as torture from lack of sleep.

The turbines have destroyed families and pitted neighbor against neighbor and every time a wind turbine goes up a squad of attorneys is hired to protect the health and property rights of the citizens of Massachusetts in another town.

The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has sat on their thumbs for the last six years in a state of obfuscation failing to protect our citizens. The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center is an out of control state agency that needs judicial oversight.

The Massachusetts news media like sheep produced wind turbine "Puff" stories never questioning the ill effects or the other side of the story. Every week the administration of former Governor Patrick would release press releases and the media would rewrite them as if they were the real news. The news media helped con the citizens of Massachusetts.

The media still has an agenda today and that is to ignore the massive land and ocean wind turbine health and financial fiasco caused by former Governor Deval Patrick. The embarrassed press and Democratic party would just as soon sweep the whole thing under the rug.

Governor Patrick was challenged to spend several nights as a guest of one of the Falmouth's citizens who live near the turbines. The challenge included that an acoustic engineer of the caliber of Rick James or Robert Rand be on location. Patrick ignored the challenge knowing the outcome would be a political embarrassment

First came Evergreen Solar. Patrick set up a Solar company at Ft Devens with 100 million in taxpayer funds. The company pulled up stakes and moved to China with the money and no recourse. So long taxpayers 100 million.

Second people started to catch on when Patrick a Democrat showed up in a state funded $ 46,000.00 Cadillac DeVille DTS. Talk about a Democratic war on fossil fuels and renewable energy.

Next came the Green Communities Act in which the author former Speaker of the House Sal DiMasi another Democratic sits dying in federal prison on corruption charges. At the trial it was found Governor Patrick used a fake email : sally.reynolds@state.ma.us to avoid Freedom of Information Act requests about communications with wind turbine contractors

The land and ocean based wind turbine projects are a financial and health fiasco.

In New Bedford a so called ocean wind turbine port was built for 113 million dollars. This port is the highlight of former Gov Patrick.

The news media and politicians refer to the port as complete. The New Bedford Marine Commercial Terminal remains incomplete. No rail link, No cranes, No port operator. The hurricane gates only have a legal entrance of 120 feet. Wind turbine specialized " jack-up" barges don't fit through the gates. The channel for 5 miles out from the hurricane gates needs one million cubic yards of PCB tainted material dredged and the channel can only be used at high tide. All on the Massachusetts taxpayers and people still don't get it ! Next time your looking to buy a set of tires for your car think about your tax dollars thrown in New Bedford Harbor !

The bond payments at taxpayer expense are $ 187,500.00 a month for thirty years and the port is a financial fiasco built on Deval Patricks watch.

To put it bluntly Massachusetts has no ocean wind turbine port.

The ocean wind jobs will go to Quonset Point, Rhode Island with two 1500 foot channels out to the ocean.

The news media and politicians continue the bunco scheme on the taxpayer dime.

Corruption in Massachusetts incredibly broad. We need the most effective strategies to stop corruption. We need honest journalism.

If this was thirty years ago former Governor Deval Patrick would be on the list of American politicians at the state and local levels convicted of corruption.
