"Trans: The Movie" Free, Public Screening and Discussion at Falmouth Jewish Congregation (Tuesday, June 7

Trans is an extraordinary documentary feature about the Transgender community. Come watch, learn, and discuss. Free and open to all.

Trans is an extraordinary documentary feature about men and women, and all the variations in between. It is about the Transgender Community, perhaps the most misunderstood and mistreated minority in America and around the world. Inspired by the incredible story of Lt. Commander Christopher McGinn, a Navy flight surgeon selected by NASA to serve on two space missions who, after discharge, sets out on a different mission – to become Dr. Christine McGinn. Chronicling her work as a transgender surgeon, Trans provides an up-close and very personal vision into her own amazing story, as well as the lives, loves, and challenges of a remarkable cast of characters of all ages and from all walks of life. These are stories of confusion and courage, excitement and emotion that are gradually being told to the community at large. To anyone who has ever looked in a mirror and wondered, 'who they really are?' Trans ask another question, 'are you brave enough to find out?' To members of our community, Trans provides insight into the Transgender Community.
