The Heritage Collection Tour at Heritage Museums & Gardens

Get a closer look at Heritage's newly reinstalled American Art exhibit on May 9 at 1pm

While Heritage Museums & Gardens always celebrates American art, this year features fabulous opportunities to enjoy a reinstallation of the museum’s permanent collection and two temporary exhibits, The Wyeths: America Reflected featuring the work of three generations of Wyeths, and Secret Shelters, an outdoor contemporary art installation. Join Director of Collections & Exhibitions Jennifer Madden for a 45-minute tour of The Heritage Collection, an exhibit that presents highlights from the museum’s collection of folk, fine and decorative arts displayed in four themes that permeate American history: sense of home, work, place and conflict of ideas. Discover landscape paintings, folk art portraits, lithographs, redware, decorative bird carvings, and more, and get a sneak preview of what’s to come in The Wyeths: America Reflected and Secret Shelters exhibits, opening June 6.

Free with museum admission.
