K-9 Sniffs Out Heroin in Cape Cod Suspect's Buttocks: Police

YARMOUTH, MA — A Dennis heroin dealer was arrested Wednesday in Yarmouth after police said they found his drug stash in his buttocks, police said.

Timothy Baker, 22, was charged with heroin possession with intent to distribute.
Police said on Wednesday at about 4 p.m., they were called to West Yarmouth Road for a report that Baker was acting suspicious and trespassing on a property. Baker ran off when an officer arrived, police said, but he was captured after a short chase.

A Yarmouth police K-9 unit consisting of Officer Sean Gannon and his dog Thor arrived; the dog sniffed out heroin in the man’s crotch area, police said. A subsequent search turned up a bag of heroin that Baker was clenching between his buttocks, police said.
Police said the bag had 16 grams of heroin. Baker also had $1,200 of cash on him, police said. Police said the heroin was worth about $1,700.

Baker has an extensive criminal history that includes 25 charges. In 2013, he was charged with dealing heroin in Barnstable.
He was held on $2,500 bail pending an arraignment.
