Massachusetts Just Got a New Snow Baby
Despite an almost island-wide power outage, Nantucket Cottage Hospital staff safely delivered a blizzard baby.

The blizzard seems to be all anyone can talk about: whether more or less snow fell than forecasters predicted, what kind of damage heavy snow and wind caused and how wild animals survived during the storm are just a few of the topics on our minds.
But a tiny baby in Nantucket has shifted the conversation, getting a little of the blizzard attention for himself.
Cayden Keith Moore was born during the height of the storm in Nantucket at 3:35 on Tuesday morning.

Nantucket Cottage Hospital, where Cayden was born, was among the more than 12,800 Nantucket homes and businesses without power, myfoxboston reported. But that didn’t stop Smith’s doctor, Margaret “Mimi” Koehm, and other hospital staff from safely delivering this baby boy.
The hospital had some power from its generators, which helped during Smith’s labor. Cayden weighs 6 pounds, 4.8 ounces, and measured 17 3/4 inches long.
