Massachusetts Officials "ON NOTICE " Wind Turbine Health Problems 2016
State- Federal Officials Can No Longer Stand On The Sidelines Stating You Were Not Aware Of The Consequences. People Being Hurt Need Action.

Since Falmouth Wind I began operations in 2010 there have been thousands of written certified reports of noticeable sounds from the turbines from multiple property owners near the facility.
The Town of Falmouth said in 2010 they take residents’ concerns about noise very seriously. The problem with that statement is the town had been warned by the manufacturer of the turbines that the Vestas wind turbines generate 110 decibels of noise much higher than the original feasibility studies.
The November 2005 Falmouth feasibility study for the Falmouth wind turbines left out the noise warnings found in previous feasibility studies in several unsuccessful attempts to site the turbines owned by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center. Those warnings were for regulatory noise measured in decibels and human annoyance or what is called infra sound.
The 2005 Falmouth feasibility study did however contain this noise warning :”A total of 99 residential properties are located within a half-mile radius of the turbine site.” This warning was for a smaller General Electric wind turbine. In 2013 the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center admitted acoustic noise “mistakes” in the noise tests.
The town went forward building another turbine affecting another 100 residents. 200 residential homes have been modeled in the wind turbine zone.
How does anyone in their right mind think you could wind a lawsuit with this type of information against the Town of Falmouth ?
Falmouth Wind II has no noise tests and relied on the Falmouth Wind I noise tests that the MassCEC admitted were flawed. There are also no noise tests of the two turbines working together either.
Now let’s image for a moment that the Town of Falmouth did hide a noise warning from the public in August of 2010 that they knew the town owned Vestas turbines generated 110 decibels of noise. This is double the noise of the original smaller General Electric wind turbine.
The simple fact is the town is guilty of hiding the written noise warning from Vestas wind company in 2010
Falmouth taxpayers and consumers must provide perpetual subsidies to prop up their wind project. Every six months Town Meeting Members vote in a steady infusion of cash. At each Town Meeting the Falmouth Select Board asks for more money assuring the taxpaying public not to believe what they read in the local news as the town continues to hire attorneys and law firms and the court cases against the turbines continue to grow.
The health issues are associated with noise and not just annoying audible regulatory noise, but inaudible, low-frequency “infra sound” that causes headache, dizziness, and symptoms akin to seasickness.
The Town of Falmouth and state hid the concerns and eventualities of the implementation of commercial wind turbine energy on the health and welfare of those who will live close by and within the radius of around 200 residential homes.
In 2016 there is clinical evidence that substantiates that there is a clear correlation between the decibel levels and the distance of the effect of the noise and specifically the infra sound that will adversely affect residencies and the respective residents.
The Falmouth turbines generate 110 decibels of noise.
This noise stance is not contrived or based on conjecture, the facts stand on the written certified complaints of individuals who have suffered greatly to include lost sleep, severe headaches, increases in blood pressure and increased levels of stress. Residents have had to abandon homes and properties for periods of time as a result of their continued deteriorating health and welfare.
Massachusetts legislators need to be concerned as well and should be thinking of the commercial wind turbine heath issues and not just focusing on getting re-elected .The realities of the noise and decibel levels have come to fruition and the respective health degradations, you cannot stand on the sidelines and state you were not aware of the consequences. It’s clear at least 21 communities have gone on the record and advised you of the facts.
It’s obvious the state has already recognized there is an impact on health and welfare for those who live close to the wind turbines. The state had planned to build 2500 wind turbines by the year 2020. Today there are only around 100 commercial wind turbines an admission of the health and financial fiasco.
The state has refused any disciplined reviews and measurements by third party resources to regulate the noise levels that exceed the recommended levels for safe operations the turbines. The noise levels include regulatory measured in decibels and human annoyance of what is called infra sound.
State and local officials are aware the wind turbines noise levels continue to aversely affect residents in as many as twenty one communities.
If these noise and health points are ignored, many Massachusetts residents will continue to be adversely affected and we can then argue that Massachusetts lives do not matter.
We need to learn from the Falmouth “ experience “and the lessons that those resident’s health and welfare and economic security to include homes and property value that are adversely impacted.
