Massachusetts Wind Turbines Don’t Make Cents
Total number of megawatts from commercial wind turbines in Massachusetts installed in Massachusetts in the past ten years equals around 110 megawatts. A single commercial wind turbine equals around 2 megawatts today. Repairs on turbines require special heavy duty cranes and foreign specialized workers for repairs.
Massachusetts ranks 34th for commercial wind turbines in the United States. There are not more than 100 commercial wind turbines in Massachusetts. The state of Massachusetts data base doesn’t show the actual installed amount to commercial wind in 2014. The installation figures of commercial wind in megawatts is being kept in the dark by embarrassed state officials.
For years the wind industry has called the tortured neighbors of the wind turbines NIMBYs, Not In My Back Yard.
Solar power on the other hand equals over 750 megawatts in the past few years. Massachusetts has over 350 solar companies at work throughout Massachusetts, employing over 9,000 people. Over 300 megawatts of solar power was installed in 2014. Over 800 million was invested on Solar power in 2014. The costs of installations of solar have decreased by as much as ten percent while commercial wind remains upward. The solar projects all use people from the local building trade and repairs can be made with service vehicles.
The commercial wind turbine business doesn’t make cents in Massachusetts. In most cases they are losing millions of dollars.
Commercial wind turbines costing 5 million dollars each with massive maintenance repairs within 3 to 5 years of operation are proving to be an embarrassment to politicians and editors of the news media who have touted commercial wind power for the past ten years.
There are as many as twenty residential communities that have complained about regulatory, human annoyance or infra-sound from megawatt turbines.
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center once known as the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative produced a fatal flaws analysis for the Town of Mattapoisett in 2005 that made reference to the two distinct types of noise. The agency dropped the reference to two distinct types of noise to install the Falmouth Wind I turbine in 2010.
The Massachusetts 2012 “Wind Turbine Health Impact Study” made up of wind turbine advocates and political hacks admitted there is limited epidemiologic evidence suggesting an association between exposure to wind turbines and annoyance. Again we see the word “annoyance.”
Wind turbine victims describe the noise as torture.
The wind turbine business in Massachusetts is a financial fiasco. The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center has pumped 113 million into the incomplete New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal. The hurricane gates only have a legal width clearance of 120 feet. The rail link remains 2500 feet from the port. There are no large cranes. An AM radio antenna remains on 4 acres of the site. The EPA still has to dredge 800,000 cubic yards of toxic PCB and heavy metal materials from the harbor and the channel outside the hurricane gates needs to be dredged for 5 miles.
The debt estimated on the Green Energy Bonds borrowed to build the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal is costing taxpayers $ 187,500.00 per month for up to 30 years
Who is lying to who ? It is 113 million now and no where complete. Ask your local politicians what is going on !
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center just pumped another 1.8 million dollars into the two commercial wind turbine in Falmouth, Massachusetts. The two turbines equal around 3 megawatts.

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center is helping defray the cost of litigation of the Town of Falmouth while on the other hand not helping pay the litigation fees of the wind turbine victims.
Ultimately us the taxpayers are paying for the whole dog and pony show going on at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and the Falmouth wind turbines.

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center needs judicial and legislative oversight. Hundreds of millions of renewable energy taxes and Green Energy bonds are being produced to be poured into a failed commercial wind turbine agenda in Massachusetts
For the sake of humanity stop the wind turbine torture and wasting our tax dollars on expensive commercial wind turbines.
Ask your local politicians ; Why is Massachusetts continuing to waste hundreds of millions on commercial wind ?
