Massachusetts Found Guilty of Violations Global Warming Solutions Act MassCEC Mismanagement Out Of Control Megawatt Wind Turbine Agenda.
The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court has sided with the environmental groups to ensure that legally mandated climate change reductions are realized by the 2020 deadline.
In 2008 Massachusetts had a renewable energy agenda of 2000 megawatts of renewable energy by the year 2020. The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center an out of control state agency decided to use commercial megawatt wind turbines to reach the renewable energy goal. A health and financial fiasco for Massachusetts taxpayers. Hundreds of millions of valuable infrastructure money has been wasted on a failed commercial wind agenda.
Massachusetts communities have been put at risk from the effects of climate change because of the failed commercial megawatt wind turbine agenda at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center.
Land Based Wind Turbines :
Falmouth, Massachusetts is ground zero for poorly placed megawatt wind turbines taking health and property rights. The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center is responsible for the poor placement of land based commercial megawatt wind turbines in as many as twenty one communities.
The megawatt wind turbine business is almost at a standstill because of the health and property takings and poor wind turbine studies financed by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center.
Ocean Based Wind Turbines :
New Bedford, Massachusetts was used to build an ocean wind turbine port. The port is called the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal. At 113 million dollars the port is a twenty six acre parking lot on the New Bedford waterfront. No rail link, No cranes, No port operator and 5 miles of channel outside the hurricane gate that need one million cubic yards of PCB material dredged. The hurricane gates only have a legal opening of 120 feet in which specialized wind turbine "jack up" barges don't fit. A massive renewable energy failure at taxpayer expense.
The port was built with Cape Wind 3.6 megawatt turbines in mind. Today ocean turbines are three times that size. The port is a financial boondoggle with bond payments of $187,500.00 a month for thirty years at taxpayer expense.
Fault :
The Department of Environmental Protection and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center facing massive litigation over the placement of commercial megawatt wind turbines in residential communities had to take action. Falmouth has ten or more ongoing litigation cases over the illegal placement of two of its town owned wind turbines. Every time a megawatt wind turbine goes up another group of law firms get hired over noise and shadow flicker from the turbines being placed in residential communities.
In New Bedford valuable state infrastructure money was wasted on an incomplete ocean wind port with only a 120 foot legal opening at the hurricane gate with the largest fishing industry on the East Coast. The result today in Massachusetts has no ocean wind turbine port at all .
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center after wasting hundreds of millions on land and ocean wind turbines knew as well as the news media they were headed to a catastrophic fiasco with commercial megawatt wind turbines.
The MassCEC switched to Solar as its means to reach the renewable energy goal four years ago.
