Plymouth, MA – Mirbeau Inn & Spa at The Pinehills, located at 35 Landmark Drive in Plymouth, is pleased to announce its “Beyond the Bistro” dinner series, beginning with the return of two oyster excursion dinners on Monday, August 1st and Thursday, September 1st. The cost is $225 per person and includes round-trip transportation, a boat ride to the flats, oyster education and collecting, food and beverage, and tax and gratuity. Space is limited and reservations are required. Guests are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing for a boat ride and beach and ocean activities. Mirbeau’s Oyster Excursion begins with transportation from Mirbeau to Plymouth’s waterfront where guests will board the Katie Marie, captained by Nate Cavacco of Plymouth Watersport Charters, to take them to the oyster flats and enjoy a selection of white and sparkling wine as well as hors d’oeuvres to include Petite Maine Lobster Tartin with avocado and cilantro sea salt; Charred Tiger Shrimp Brochette with Espelette pepper aioli; and Beach Plum-Glazed Long Island Duck “BBQ”.
Upon arrival to the oyster flats, guests will learn about our local oysters from Bill and Connor Doyle of Plymouth Rock Oyster Growers, and will have the opportunity to collect their own before enjoying a seaside dinner prepared on the beach by Executive Chef Daniel Kenney. Dinner begins with a variety of preparations of Plymouth Rock Oysters: freshly shucked with lemon-lime mignonette, fresh horseradish cocktail sauce served on ice; grilled with Portuguese chorizo butter, shaved Grana Padana, and Espelette pepper; and Plymouth Rock Oyster, Maine Lobster and Smoky Sweet Corn Chowder.
