Missing Swimmer Found OK

The male was evaluated by paramedics of the Falmouth Fire/Rescue Department and declined any treatment.

From Falmouth Police Department:

On Nov. 1, at approximately 9:03 a.m., the Falmouth Police Department received a 911 call reporting that three persons had gone swimming from Chapoquoit Beach in West Falmouth, and only two had returned. The third swimmer was unaccounted for.

The Falmouth Police Department, Falmouth Fire / Rescue Department, Falmouth Marine & Environmental Services, and United States Coast Guard responded to search for the missing 67-year-old male.

At approximately 9:27 a.m., the missing swimmer was located on the street on Chapoquoit Island by an officer from the Falmouth Police Department. He was wearing a wetsuit. He reported that he began experiencing muscle cramps while swimming and swam to shore.
