'Music for the Sound' to Raise Funds for Nantucket Sound

Tickets on sale for March 22nd concert featuring Cape Symphony's new Chamber Music Ensemble, Nth Degree. Reception follows.

The Cape Symphony’s dynamic new Chamber Music Ensemble, Nth Degree, will perform at a concert on March 22nd to raise funds to protect Nantucket Sound – a historic body of water, a significant habitat for a diversity of species of fish, birds, sea turtles, and marine mammals, and a national treasure.

Tickets are on sale now for the “Music for the Sound” concert, which will take place at Cotuit Center for the Arts and feature the beautiful sounds of Beethoven, Brahms and Mozart. Prior to the musical performance, there will be a short presentation by Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound CEO Audra Parker, who will provide an update on the group’s continued efforts to protect the beauty and ecology of Nantucket Sound. A reception will follow the concert.

For years, a large coalition of Cape Wind opponents has sounded the alarm about the economic, environmental and public safety risks associated with Cape Wind. “We’re grateful for all of the support we’ve received,” said Audra Parker, CEO of the Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound. “We hope everyone will come out with friends and family to enjoy this talented group performing beautiful music and to continue to support this important cause.”
