News Media Deception New Bedford , Massachusetts-- Taxpayers Demand The Truth

News Media Deception New Bedford , Massachusetts
Was the New Bedford ocean wind port built as a multiple use port or was it built for commercial wind turbines ?
Some one is lying ! Taxpayers need answers !
The news media is not going to tell you the truth ! You the Massachusetts taxpayers have been lied to.
We all know politicians will lie at the drop of a hat. In 2010 Governor Patrick announced the building of the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal at 35 million dollars. Today we know the terminal sits incomplete nearing 200 million dollars with No completion date in sight.
What happens to us as a society if the news media joins the politicians lying through omission.
Journalist and Editors are lying to us and you have to believe you have been deceived by the Liberal Press in Massachusetts.
When it comes to the Massachusetts renewable energy goal of 2000 megawatts of renewable energy “Agenda” of 2000 megawatts of renewable energy by the year 2020 your only hearing one side of the story from your local news.
One newspaper actually printed this statement that shows they are on board for the “Agenda.”
“Our political sympathies are in general much more aligned with the progressive policies of the Democratic Party, both nationally and statewide.”
When news media organizations follow Agendas of political parties history shows the devastating consequences.
One simple method is finger pointing and not asking questions. The state Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary Richard Sullivan testified to a legislative bonding committee that he was 100 percent sure Cape Wind would build its wind turbines in New Bedford. The state bonding committee approved 100 million dollars to continue building the port. Our news media groups here in Massachusetts simply print press releases from the executive branch of state government as if they are real news items.
Cape Wind never had a permit from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management to build turbines in New Bedford. Quonset Point, Rhode Island is the federally permitted site. Cape Wind has been embroiled in massive legal litigation since the project started. How was Richard Sullivan 100 percent sure Cape Wind would use New Bedford.
The news media, journalist and editors lack any type of professional code of conduct and continue feeding only affirmative information about renewable energy ignoring the lies from the executive branch of government going right along with the “Agenda.”
On September 17, 2014 Cape Wind filed a project revision to use New Bedfrod as the construction and staging of its modified project using 111 commercial wind turbines instead of 130 wind turbines and upgrading the 3.6 megawatt turbines to 4.0 turbines. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, BOEM has refused to respond to Freedom of Information Requests for a public review of the project revision filed by Cape Wind. Why ?
To help understand how badly you have been misled the news media has helped dupe the public and become the Lap Dog of the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and executive branch of government. I call it lying by omission.
Folks, Today the news media is allowing the lies to continue. The New Bedford ocean wind port is incomplete and hundreds of millions of your tax dollars are being poured out the back door of Beacon Hill into New Bedford Harbor.
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center now says the port is going into phase two after spending over 110 million that we know of. They refuse to comment on a completion date.
All those involved with the port now say it was always going to be a multiple use port another lie.
New Bedford Wind Port Mismanagement or Corruption or Both ?
The following below is a letter from 2012 to the State of Massachusetts from Siemens wind turbine contractors who are the proposed contractors for the Nantucket Sound 130 ocean wind turbine project.
A The letter / email restates a letter from 2010 that Siemens wind company needs 24 hour a day unrestricted access to the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal. The letter is addressed to the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center. In the letter there is no mention of a multi use port.
B In May of 2013 Richard J. Sullivan Jr., former secretary of energy and environmental testified before the House Bonding Committee — chaired by Representative Antonio Cabral, Democrat of New Bedford that he was absolutely convinced that New Bedford will be the primary staging port for Cape Wind. Cape Wind only had a federal permit issued by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management in 2010 to do its construction and staging from Quonset Point , Rhode Island. New Bedford is allowed three maintenance boats in the permit.
C The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center has described to the public that the New Bedford Ocean wind port is going to be built as a multi-use port.
The opinion and only conclusion that can be draw is the taxpayers of Massachusetts are being short changed over the total mismanagement of the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal. The question needs to be asked why is all this information being disregarded and swept under the rug. Every day more questions are being asked. Is this the largest renewable energy failure in Massachusetts history ?
Here is the information you be the judge. Is this Mismanagement or Corruption or Both
On August 24, 2010 Siemens wrote a letter to the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center detailing the requirements for an offshore wind turbine staging facility, and assessing the appropriateness of the proposed “South Terminal” (aka — New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal or NBMCT) Port Facility preliminary project design.

“Delivery of wind turbine parts and material by international cargo vessel. This comprises tower sections, electronics components, nacelles, hubs and blades. These items will be off loaded to the quayside, for movement to their designated storage locations. Storage onsite of sufficient number of turbine and tower components to facilitate efficient assembly and transfer to the development site. Assembly of nacelle components, including attachment of the hub and installation of aviation lighting etc. Assembly of all components in complete sets for loading onto the assembly vessel.
Loading assembled components onto the installation vessel, using both on-shore and vessel-mounted cranes as appropriate.
The following points summarize the requirements of a Port facility from the Siemens operational perspective keeping in mind that the requirements are also in general heavily dependent on the allowable timeframe given by our clients and the installation equipment (vessels etc.) in use:
NBMCT facilities_Siemens Letter_20120618.doc
“It is critically important that the staging area be dedicated to the wind farm activities with unrestricted access on a 24-hour per day basis during pre-assembly and installation operations. Locations that would require Siemens to share space with other unrelated ongoing uses would not be feasible or practicable. The South Terminal meets these criteria, because it can be made available for wind farm use on a 24 hour exclusive basis, including access between the areas.””
