The New Bedford Ocean Wind Turbine Port - Meeting canceled again & again

Many of your know of the supposed lease by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center to Cape Wind for $187,500.00 per month at the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal.

The terminal still has no completion date, costs and the news media has told you that Cape Wind is paying a monthly lease since September of 2014 - It is not true - It’s a lie !

Cape Wind only pays the lease if they get financing.

Right now the taxpayers are paying the interest on 113 million in green energy bonds and your renewable energy tax money was used to build a freight port in New Bedford.

The port was to be complete in December. The state politicians and news media are stalling hoping you forget about the terminal. The have now again canceled more meetings over the terminal.

There are still issues over the rail link, AM radio tower and the federal channel out side the needs dredging

The news media will not make any of these announcements -What are they hiding ?

They are hiding the costs & completion dates

The news media continues to hide any negative information about the New Bedford ocean wind port and the mega millions being spent there

SER Dredging meeting on February 23, 2015. Cancelled

A dredging meeting was scheduled for February 23, 2015. The meeting was to discuss dredging the federal channel outside the narrow 120 foot wide opening at the hurricane gate. There also was to be discussion by the Army Corps of Engineers to dredge an additional 850,000 cubic yards of toxic soil in New Bedford Harbor. The material may be placed in the current CAD cells

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center the owners of the port will not comment on a cost or completion date.

New Bedford Harbor was chosen as a commercial wind port an currently is frozen over. The Coast Guard has been breaking up the ice in the harbor. Again the wrong location for an ocean port in a small harbor with only a legal entrance of 120 feet. The opening is a choke point for the ice in the harbor

The New Bedford ocean wind turbine project continues to be a financial fiasco.
