A free noontime concert at Church of the Messiah in Woods Hole

Please join us on Wednesday, July 20th, at 12:15pm, for the third concert in our annual Noontunes Summer Concert Series. Pianist Gary Girouard, will be presenting a program of original piano works. The concert will take place in the stone church at the Church of the Messiah, 22 Church Street, Woods Hole. Free-will offering.
Gary Girouard is a self-proclaimed piano ‘troubadour’ – spinning intimate confessions and emotional stories through evocative solo piano melodies. Girouard’s expressive style of contemporary piano combines equal parts classical (think Chopin), and new age (George Winston) into “a masterpiece, a testament to a fluid live recording” (Boston Live), and “a must-have for your solo piano collection” (SoloPiano.com). Girouard’s Naked Piano series is heard by over 3.4 million Pandora listeners and has garnered critical and popular acclaim including multiple “Album of the Year” awards and nominations. Girouard has toured nationally and internationally since 2004, including recent performances in Italy and Weill Hall at Carnegie (NY). A master of the modern/contemporary solo piano genre, Gary's Naked Piano series has been described as "hauntingly beautiful", "deeply moving" and "incredibly powerful”. “We all deal with difficult times and are leading increasingly stressful lives,” comments Girouard “The Naked Piano is a simple response - highlighting a beautiful instrument in its most pure and natural form." Now residing on Cape Cod (MA), Girouard is heavily influenced by his European ancestry and time spent living and traveling through Italy.
