On Thursday, April 28, 7:00 PM, as a prelude to the Falmouth Chorale's "Come Sail with Me" concert on April 30 and May 1, Tom Goux will provide a sampling from his collection of ballads, work songs (chanteys) and recitation of verses from maritime poets of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
The event will take place at the Cultural Center, Falmouth Museums on the Green, 65 Palmer Avenue. A $10 donation is suggested.
His presentation will connect historical interpretation with musical and visual arts, and provide a musical compliment to the exhibition of maritime paintings by E.F. Lincoln currently on display. Instrumental accompaniment may include concertina, guitar, ukulele, recorders, bodhran and moustache trumpet.
