Wind-shear at Tonight's Candidate Forum
Falmouth represents a community that once identified a renewable energy goal and found, after implementation, they were misled.

Falmouth is a community in Massachusetts that wished to implement a smart energy solution to escalating municipal energy costs (i.e. 2 industrial wind turbines). The result (so far) has been by way of changes to the local Wind Energy Facility Zoning Bylaw (which one particular candidate voted against at Town Meeting). That bylaw change has enabled town wide wind energy facility development and meets municipal comprehensive plan goals. While, at the same time, dramatically reduces public welfare risk.
It will soon be decided by voters which candidate will help Plymouth and Barnstable County communities how best to frame their own renewable energy tools within the context of compatibility and harmony. There is a lengthy list of benefits when renewable energy sources are implemented thoughtfully and effectively. However, candidates that believe ‘the greater good’ should dictate personal welfare and property rights should not be tolerated. Candidates campaigning for ‘the greater good’ at the expense of family and Falmouth neighbors are not the types of legislator any of us in the district can live with (regardless of their political puffery) .
