Wind Turbine Infra Sound 1979 -- Block Island, R.I. --- Boone, N.C,
US Dept of Energy & NASA in 1970s conducted tests on wind turbine infra sound causing sleep disruption and interference TV -Radio signals

The United States government, Massachusetts state and local officials have been aware of wind turbine infra sound for over 40 years.
Federal and state officials were well aware of noise tests done in Boone North Carolina completed in 1985 by the US Department of Energy by Scientist Neil Kelly. Those tests showed noise problems from wind turbines measured in decibels and human annoyance, nuisance noise or what was defined in 1986 as wind turbine infra sound. Tests done on Block Island, Rhode Island at the same time showed infra sound interfered with radio and TV line of sight communications
The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative today the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center in 2005 had warned Massachusetts citizens in basic wind turbine noise studies of two distinct types of noise from wind turbines regulatory measured in decibels and human annoyance or what is called infra sound.

Boone, North Carolina - 2MW MOD-1 Turbine installed.
To trial industrial-level wind energy generation in the US, the 5th operational wind turbine is installed near Boone, North Carolina.
September 1, 1979
First complaints received from a dozen families within a 3km radius of turbine
Much to everyone’s surprise, complaints were made by some residents. The annoyance was described as an intermittent “thumping” sound accompanied by vibrations. .. A “feeling” or “presence” was described, felt rather than heard, accompanied by sensations of uneasiness and personal disturbance. .. The “sounds” were louder and more annoying inside the affected homes. .. Some rattling of loose objects occurred. In one or two severe situations, structural vibrations were sufficient to cause loose dust to fall from high ceilings, which created an additional nuisance.

The bottom line these turbines used in the 1980s NASA , Dept of Energy Experiment were 200 Kilowatt wind turbines.
Today the Town of Falmouth has two 1650 Kilowatt wind turbines or what are called 1.65 Megawatt turbines.
The Falmouth wind turbines are eight times the size of the NASA experimental turbines and the Town of Falmouth owns two of them.
The federal government has known since the 1980s the frequencies produced by wind turbines are health hazardous and caused the shut down of television reception on Block Island, Rhode Island.
