Boston Red Sox vs. Cleveland Indians: AL Division Series TV Schedule, Time, Channel for Game 3

Here's the skinny on tonight's do-or-die game for the Red Sox

Yesterday's Red Sox-Indians ALDS Game 3 was rained out, setting the stage for a Columbus Day showdown that could prove fatal for the Red Sox's season and David Ortiz's career.

Boston trails the series, 2-0, after disappointing offensive performances and downright ugly starting pitching. But hope remains: If the Sox win tonight at Fenway Park, they will pitch ace Rick Porcello in Game 4 Tuesday, thanks to the added day of rest from the rain out.

Boston needs its offense to wake up. David Ortiz is the easy bet to come through yet another clutch hit, but youngsters Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley Jr., and Xander Bogaerts need to find their swings before their season comes to an end.

Here's what to know for tonight:

  • First pitch is schedule for 6:08 p.m. You can watch the game on TBS or listen on WEEI (93.7).
  • Clay Buchholz takes the ball for Boston. Josh Tomlin toes the rubber for Cleveland. Patch would suggest taking the over in this one, although both pitchers had their moments this season.
  • If the Red Sox win, they will try to extend their season yet again on Tuesday. That game will be played at 2:08 or 3:08, pending the result of tonight's Cubs-Giants game in the NLDS.
  • There are still hundreds of tickets available on StubHub and VividSeats, starting at a relatively affordable price considering it could be Big Papi's final game.

The rest of the series will also be broadcast on TBS and and WEEI.
