Bill Walczak Becomes Eighth Candidate to Qualify for Mayoral Ballot

BOSTON -- June 3, 2013 -- Today, community leader and candidate for Mayor of Boston officially qualified for the ballot according to city election officials. Walczak has lived in Dorchester more than 40 years, founding the Codman Square Health Center in 1979 and the Codman Academy Charter Public School in 2000. He currently serves as Vice President for External Relations at Shawmut Construction. 

"I am grateful to the hundreds of volunteers and thousands of Boston voters who helped me qualify for the ballot." Walczak said. "My campaign will continue to talk to voters every day about the issues they care about. As the CEO of the Codman Square Health Center, we built community partnerships and harnessed the great resources of the city of Boston to transform Codman Square. Working together, we can do the same for the city of Boston."
