Mayoral Candidate Bill Walczak Turns Over Volunteers for Markey GOTV

Today, community leader and mayoral candidate Bill Walczak announced that he is joining his colleagues in the race for Mayor of Boston in turning over his volunteer operation to Ed Markey’s senatorial campaign for the final weekend of the special election. 

“When the Markey campaign contacted us several weeks ago with this request, we agreed without hesitation,” said Walczak. “My colleagues and I may not agree on who the next Mayor of Boston should be, but we all agree that Ed Markey should be the next Senator from Massachusetts. We will suspend other field activities to focus on this effort.”

The Walczak campaign will turn its campaign office into a Markey Dorchester headquarters, and will recruit volunteers to do “Get Out The Vote” shifts over the weekend and on Election Day.
