Exclusive Film Screening - Portrait of Wally

Portrait of Wally by Andrew Shea (US, 2012, 90 min.). Egon Schiele’s painting of his mistress, Wally, put the spotlight on Nazi art loot, forcing museums to search their own collections. After its disappearance from Vienna, Wally resurfaced on loan to MoMA in 1997, and a 13-year fight to return the painting to the Bondi family began. “Portrait of Wally…deserves to be one of the docs that breaks into the American pop consciousness…,” Slant Magazine.
