MFA Concerts in the Courtyard

Journey back to the Jazz Age with Ghost Train Orchestra!

Ghost Train Orchestra brings “music from the heart of the Jazz Age that still has a raucous immediacy.” Their debut 2011 album achieved much critical acclaim and reached the top 10 of the Billboard Jazz charts in the weeks following Carpenter's spot on NPR's Fresh Air with Terry Gross. The band has performed at the Museum of Modern Art, the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington DC, and the Highline Ballroom in Manhattan. Comprising New York and Boston members, Ghost Train Orchestra takes you back to the 1920s with horns, percussion, strings, and original compositions. Continue the Boston French Film Festival at this special performance!

Start the evening off with Boston-based Sinti Rhythm, playing tribute to the jazz of Django Reinhardt.
