Family Day at the Bakalar and Paine Galleries

Guests may come for a free, fun-filled day of interactive activities and art-making designed and guided by MassArt students and gallery staff to illuminate the featured exhibition.

The Bakalar & Paine Galleries expose audiences to new experiences every day, impact the MassArt curriculum, and educate tomorrow’s artists, designers, and art educators. Family Day is a unique collaboration between the Bakalar & Paine Galleries and the College’s Art Education Department. As part of their coursework, MassArt students training to be future museum educators are guided by Gallery staff and Art Education faculty to design activities that foster close looking, imagination and creativity. Materials and inspiration provided. Activities are best suited for ages 6 and up. Refreshments served.
