Mookie Betts Named American League Player of the Month
The outfielder led the American League in doubles, extra base hits and total bases in July.
Mookie Betts has been named the American League Player of the Month following his outstanding performance in July.
The outfielder led the American League with 10 doubles, 16 extra base hits and 62 total bases. He also ranked first in the MLB in total bases during the month.
Betts was third in the American League with 35 hits and tied for third with five stolen bases. He scored 15 runs, batted .368, blasted five home runs and had 15 RBIs in July.

This is the first Player of the Month award for Betts; he is the second Sox player to receive the honor this season, after fellow outfielder Jackie Bradley, Jr. in May.
