Red Sox, Dodgers World Series Ticket Prices Are Scary

The Red Sox competing in the World Series isn't exactly a once-in-a-lifetime experience these days, but going to one of the games still can be -- especially at these prices.

The cheapest tickets for Game 1 of the World Series between Boston and the Los Angeles Dodgers at Fenway Park were $429 on StubHub, $534.46 with fees included. So for more than $1,000, you and a friend can sit in the 15th row of the bleachers. One person is selling a front-row seat in the dugout box for a modest $31,002.50, after fees.

The "get-in" price for Wednesday's Game 2 is $465 - and those tickets don't even come with a seat. The standing room only tickets are $579.10 after fees.

If you want to try your luck in Los Angeles, get ready to shell out $290 on what Expedia says is the cheapest one-way flight from Logan Thursday, an off day for the teams. Then dig out another $802.30 for the cheapest Game 3 tickets on Stubhub (after fees.)

At that point, you might as well stick around and get Game 4 tickets for $913.30. That means the seller's price before fees is $735.

If you think those secondhand market prices are a pipe dream, think again. ESPN's Darren Rovell reported Monday afternoon that someone spent $49,286 dollars for four seats to Game 4 in Los Angeles.

Oh, and how's this for Halloween horror? Tickets for a potential Game 7 at Fenway Park, which would be Halloween night, are starting at $750 for standing room only - or $932 after fees for the opportunity to not sit for four hours.
