Litmus test? In a sense. The Red Sox go from fattening up on an easy portion of the schedule to hosting the team with the best record in baseball. And while the Giants also entered Monday tied for the most road wins in the league, they are on a three-game skid and throwing their two worst starting pitchers. The biggest thing to watch for here will be the Sox debut of Drew Pomeranz, who will be facing San Francisco for the fourth time this season (0-2, 2.60). Forecast: Sunny with good probability of a two-game sweep.
