Red Sox Players React to Death of Jose Fernandez
Boston players have heavy hearts after the death of one of baseball's brightest young stars.

The baseball community awoke in collective shock Sunday morning to the news of the death of Jose Fernandez.
The Miami Marlins 24-year-old ace pitcher was killed in what was reportedly a boating accident. The team has canceled today's game against Atlanta.
Fernandez had never pitched against Boston, but his electric arm and magnetic charisma made him tops on fans' fantasy wish list.

The Tampa Bay Rays were set to honor retiring Red Sox slugger David Ortiz before Sunday afternoon's game in St. Petersburg, but canceled the festivities at the request of Ortiz, who tweeted the following.
