Red Sox Prospect in Critical Condition Following Fiery Crash
Kevin Steen, 20, was hospitalized after a crash in Florida Wednesday night.

A Red Sox minor league pitcher was critically injured Wednesday night in a fatal crash Wednesday night near Fort Myers, Fla.
Kevin Steen, 20, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. The crash occurred shortly before midnight.
A vehicle was headed eastbound on Lee Boulevard but veered off the road and crossed the median, going airborne before crashing into the front of a Steen's westbound SUV before catching on fire, FHP said.

The driver of the car that crossed the median was pronounced dead at the scene.
Steen was selected by Boston in the ninth round of the 2014 Amateur Draft. He started with the Gulf Coast League team in Fort Myers but last year advanced to the Single A Lowell Spinners.
