Senator Spilka for Results. For Congress

Over sixty years ago, my parents built their house and then raised six children in Winchester, MA. My mother and older sister still live in our family home.  We were very fortunate to receive the quality public education that the town has offered to generations of children. We were a working class family in an affluent community.  My Dad was a town meeting member and Park & Rec. Commissioner.   My mother worked as a school lunch lady, where she could keep an eye on us. The years have brought changes to the community but some things remain the same. One thing we need now, as we have through the years, is a voice in Congress that knows the struggles of working people and will fight for our needs.  Taxpayers and citizens deserve a results driven champion for people of all walks of life and abilities.  The elderly, physically, mentally and cognitively challenged are too often forced to make hard choices between food, medicine and other essentials right here in Winchester. That is why unions - both my father’s and grandfather’s - that provided security for our family and currently for my elderly mother are supporting state Senator Karen Spilka to represent Winchester in Congress.  I was too young (imagine that!) to vote for Ed Markey in his first campaign for Congress but my parents did.

Please join us and vote Karen Spilka for Congress on October 15, 2013.
