UPDATE: Police Locate Driver Who Fatally Struck Bicyclist

The driver of a truck responsible for striking and killing a female bicyclist in Boston Friday morning has been located out of state after an extensive manhunt, police say. The truck was also recovered.

Police say the bicyclist was hit around 8 a.m. in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Beacon Street.

The woman’s identity has not been disclosed.

According to police, the truck driver never stopped after running the woman down and may not have been aware of what happened.

The investigation remains active and ongoing at this time.
