The national program is expanding across Central Massachusetts, teaching kids ages 5–17 real-world skills in pricing, marketing, money management, and confidence while tapping into busy local farm venues to draw supportive crowds.
   

• Souza-Baranowski correction officers indicted for allegedly beating prisoners (masslawyersweekly.com) — A man from Fitchburg is identified as the victim in a 2016 murder case tied to a violent 2024 attack at the Souza-Baranowski maximum-security prison, where officers were later accused of beating shackled inmates. State prosecutors have now indicted four correction officers, and two have been removed from duty without pay as the case moves through Worcester Superior Court.
