• West Nile virus pesticide treatments scheduled for Worcester, Fitchburg (telegram.com) — Mosquito control crews are scheduled to spray for West Nile virus in Fitchburg on Thursday, targeting neighborhoods between South and Water streets and between Reingold Avenue and Woodland Street after infected mosquitoes were found. Residents can opt out through the state agriculture department, and no human cases have been reported so far. 
• New immigration protections signed into law.
